Reflexology

How it works

The basis of reflexology can be found in ancient Egypt, India and China.  It was brought to the West when Dr William Fitzgerald found that reflexes on the hands and feet were connected to organs and parts of the body.  A professionally trained reflexologist can detect subtle changes in specific points on the feet and by working these points may positively affect the corresponding organ or system of the body.

Benefits

A large percentage of disorders are stress related and reflexology is deeply relaxing and may help to reduce stress and nerve tension.  You may benefit from reflexology with these issues:

  • Back pain
  • Headaches
  • Fertility
  • Joint pain
  • Sleep disorders
  • Sports injuries
  • Hormonal imbalances
  • Digestive disorders
  • Stress related conditions

It is suitable for all ages and may bring relief from a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.  After completing a course of treatment for a specific condition, many people like to continue with monthly treatments to help them relax and counteract stress.

Each session of reflexology works on an individual basis.  Reflexologists do not claim to cure, diagnose or prescribe.
